Concrobium™ is an environmentally friendly broad-spectrum disinfectant with synthetic essential oils as active ingredients to disinfect biological agents such mold, bacteria and viruses.
This product has been certified by the United States EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Both agencies registered Concrobium™ disinfectant as bactericide, fungicide and to some extent, virucide. This product is also approved by Health Canada and has been assigned a drug identification number (DIN: 02402351) under the Food and Drugs Act.
This disinfectant is usually used when renovating after water damage due to water infiltration, sewer backup or flooding. Concrobium™ disinfectant is ideal for the restoration professionals, be they specialized in mold remediation or disaster recovery clean-up. This product is usually the second step to mold remediation, after the clean-up and stain removing on affected non-porous materials. It has been designed to disinfect while reducing the carbon footprint.
Although effective for decontamination work, the manufacturer recommends this product for daily tasks in hospitals, schools, ambulances, food processing plants, public spaces, agricultural operations and long-term care homes.
Concrobium™ disinfectant includes essential oils and active synthetic plant extracts such as thyme oil, which leave a fresh smell after use. This disinfectant is not harmful to humans nor animals. It requires no protective equipment to be handled.
Its innovative formula has been designed to remove odors and mold on non-porous materials (plastic, metal). Simply apply on the surface to be disinfected. No need to rinse or wipe, as this product leaves no residue.

Disinfection time and efficiency
The manufacturer asserts that his product disinfects in generally 30 seconds.
Against viruses: This product inactivates in one minute the Influenza A (H1N1) virus, the HIV-1 virus, as well as some strains of human coronavirus (excluding SARS) that cause the common cold, respiratory disease and viral gastroenteritis.
Against bacteria: This product disinfects in 2 minutes with an efficiency of 99.99% bacteria such as:
Staphylococcus aureus (causes skin infections and toxic shock syndrome), Salmonella enterica (causes typhoid fever and salmonellosis), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (causes urinary tract infections, lung infections, meningitis), Listeria monocytogenes (causes listeriosis), Mycobacterium tuberculosis (causes tuberculosis), Streptococcus suis (causes occupational infections such as meningitis and pneumonia).
This product is also effective against superbacteria responsible for nosocomial infections (diseases contracted in hospital settings): Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Klebsiella pneumoniae (causes pneumonia), enterococci, VRE (cause urinary tract infections), Escherichia coli (causes gastroenteritis, meningitis).
Against fungi: This product disinfects in 3 minutes common fungi such as Trichophyton mentagrophytes (athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch) and Candida albicans (yeast infections).
Dilution:
No dilution is required, the Concrobium™ disinfectant has been designed as a ready-made product.
Coverage:
The approximate coverage rate ranges between 400 ft2 to 1500 ft2/gal US and depends heavily on the porosity of the materials and the amount of product applied.
Procedures:
The manufacturer recommends the use of a pump sprayer (SACC1, SACC2) to apply the Concrobium™ disinfectant.
Limitations:
No limitations have been issued for this product. It is, however, strongly recommended to rinse surfaces that may come in contact with food with drinkable water.
Storage:
Keep out of the reach of children at a temperature that doesn’t exceed 86 °F (30 °C). In the event that the product freezes, thaw at room temperature and shake gently to mix components.
